Set in Toronto at the dawn of the 20th century during the age of invention, Murdoch Mysteries is a one-hour drama series (10 seasons, 150 episodes + 2 two-hour holiday specials) that explores the intriguing world of William Murdoch (Yannick Bisson), a detective who pioneers innovative forensic techniques to solve some of the city’s most gruesome murders. Murdoch’s colleagues include his wife, psychiatrist and coroner Dr. Julia Ogden (Hélène Joy), a loving ally who shares the detective’s fascination for science; Constable George Crabtree (Jonny Harris), Murdoch’s eager but sometimes naïve right-hand man; Inspector Brackenreid (Thomas Craig), Murdoch’s skeptical yet supportive boss; former coroner Dr. Emily Grace (Georgina Reilly); and Rebecca James (Mouna Traoré), Ogden’s assistant.
